Yoga your way to beautiful skin

We all know exercise is good for your general health and well being – and it’s no secret at yoga has plentiful health benefits. But can yoga improve the feel and appearance of your skin? It most definitely can! With the weather just turning we have found some clients are coming to us more regularly for nourishing facials, as colder weather can dehydrate and leave your skin feeling a bit under the weather. In light of our recent successful yoga afternoon, here are our top benefits of practising yoga for clear and beautiful skin…

Improves circulation

Nothing quite gets the blood pumping round your body like an hour of yoga stretches and poses. Inversions like downward dog, shoulder stand and head stands will stimulate tiny capillaries in your facial skin cells to give you a rosy glow and instantly brighten a dull complexion.

Removes toxins

As your circulation improves, your body will flush out unwanted toxins from your body. A faster practice like vinyasa flow or ‘rocket’ yoga will raise your body temperature and help you sweat out free radicals and bad energy. Your recent break out or tired looking skin will improve greatly after a good workout.

Never underestimate the detrimental effects of stress on your mind, body and of course, skin.
